Abstract

Man is embodiment of body and soul. Islam as a complete code of life provides wide-ranging teachings and guidance about all aspects of life. Islam presents teachings for nourishment and purity of body and soul. Islam has established a system of “Zakāt” and “Ṣalāt” to purify human personality. Both these worships have been primary part not only in Islam but other revealed religions as well. This paper presents a comparative analysis of these both worships from the perspective of Bible and Qur̓ānic exegesis of Sub-continent.
