The Holy Qur’an gives special attention to the formation of society and its development. The Holy Qur’an has an effective impact in improving bonds between people, whether in managing the home, or in the politics of cities, or in the collective issues related to caliphate. Because of this, the scholars, especially the exegetes among them, endeavored to extract these topics, principles and laws from the Holy Qur’an and the practical applications in these fields. Among the most important contemporaries in the Indian subcontinent who worked in these aspects were Abu ul-Ala al-Mawdudi, who wrote the exegesis “Tafhim ul-Qur’an” in Urdu and Amin Ahsan al-Islahi, who wrote the exegesis “Tadabur -Qur’an” in Urdu. Each of them has a specific opinion on the social dimensions, and the researcher will analyze, criticize and compare them.
